Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your query, we want to inform you that you can charge the S pen by placing it on the S pen slot of the back side the tab. And also, it can be checked if the S pen is detached, or if is charging.

1. To check the battery level when the S Pen isn’t attached, open the Air command menu by tapping the floating icon, or pressing the Pen button on the S Pen. The battery percentage will appear at the top of the screen.

2. From Settings icon in the Air command menu. The battery level will also display here.

3. To check the current battery level for the S Pen, unlock the tablet’s lock screen and simply press the S Pen button while the pen is attached to the charging slot.
Note: The battery percentage may not appear if the S Pen is not connected to the tablet via Bluetooth.

The S Pen is not pairing or charging: If your S Pen won’t connect to your tablet or if it doesn’t seem to be charging, resetting the S Pen is a quick fix. To reset it, navigate to Settings, and then search for and select Air actions. Tap the More options icon (the three vertical dots), tap Reset S Pen, and wait for the S Pen to reset itself.

Note: Please be aware that resetting your S Pen will revert all of its features, including remote commands, to their default settings.

● Check app cache: Settings > Device care > Storage > CLEAN NOW.

● Reset the device Settings: Settings > General Management > Reset settings>Reset all settings to their default.

● Kindly restart your tab: Press the power and volume down keys simultaneously for a few seconds.

● Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

● You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember password then advise to reset (Forgot password) your Google account.

Path: Settings> General Management.>Reset>Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup>After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings.
This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.

If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send).

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
