Not having the "S Secure" app is a very disappointing matter. The Secure Folder, although distinct, cannot be relied upon as an app lock. I have tried. If someone gains access to the mobile in any way, they can easily access private/sensitive files from existing unlocked mobile apps, especially those with app “all file access” permissions. Moreover, they can view app content and even mess with various settings in the mobile, creating potential security risks. Even installing an app from the Play Store allows setting permissions to access everything on the mobile.
So I have a counter example for you. Listing, I use multiple Android mobiles so I have to sync all data to stay connected to each other. In my google notebook there is a lot of sensitive data, including my all passwords. So I kept it into my Secure Folder and uninstall it from outside my home applications. But if someone like my friend borrows my mobile for a little time, he can Install Google Notes from Play Store and can read all sensitive data, even he don't need to sign in. Just easily my privacy can be in risk ⚠️
Hein ? . Google Notes will read from cloud right? . How will your friend install Google Notes in your device's Secure Folder unless you open Secure Folder and give it to him ? . . . If you installed Google Notes in Secure Folder and added some notes or images or some data from Secure Folder to Google Notes and sync it to cloud ... Then you WILL have a copy of that data on cloud... Now you can access cloud from anywhere... Because cloud is not inside Secure Folder.
Secure Folder is like a separate space of Samsung devices. Google Notes, which is inside the Secure Folder, is also connected with Google servers. So anybody can access my data by Installing that Google app from Play Store easily. They don't need to open/crack my Secure Folder lock. And if you create any google account, all the google apps on that mobile will automatically access the account, so that person does not even need to log in.
