Pictures disappear after sending to secure folder through gallery

I'm using a S10, with the default gallery app. When i use the more options and "send to secure folder"  it goes through the process, says complete but nothing is in the secure folder. the picture also can't be found anywhere else that i know of. Please help me figure out where they keep going.

I'm beyond myself. All day I've been trying to find some photos that I "thought" I moved to a secure folder and now can't find them anywhere. WOW!!! NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!

My whatsapp images disappear from my secure folder

I'm using Samsung A31. When I moved my whatsapp images and videos to secure folder it goes through the process, but after 1-2 day it got disappeared. Only whatsapp images and videos got disappeared rest are there. Please help me figure out where the whole folder.

I have the same issue with my s21 except I don't have the 3 dots in the top right after selecting storage... Can anyone help?

November 28th 2022 and this problem has not been fixed. I'm using the S22. Same problem.

Spent over half an hour trying to fix this over the phone with a Samsung care agent, just to end the call with "Sorry we did everything we could". I thought using a built in security app is better than third party ones. I was wrong. It's literally the worst ever app I ever used. They even deleted all my previous childhood pictures.

What a rubbish. I'll never use a Samsung phone again.
