WhatsApp Voice Notes Not Working – Tried Everything!

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with WhatsApp voice notes on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and I'm completely out of ideas on how to fix it.

The Issue:

I can't record proper voice notes on WhatsApp. No matter what I try, they either don’t record, sound distorted, or fail to send.

What I’ve Tried:

✔️ Deleted and reinstalled WhatsApp

✔️ Checked all software updates

✔️ Ensured microphone permissions are enabled

✔️ Checked network connection (WiFi & Mobile Data)

✔️ Cleared cache and storage

✔️ Restarted the phone multiple times

✔️ Tried using WhatsApp in Safe Mode

Possible Cause?

I am part of the WhatsApp Beta Program, so I’m wondering if this might be related to a beta update issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

If the recorder app is clear and perfect then, then the issue is the whatsapp beta version. Deregister from the beta program. But if the microphone doesn't seem to clear overall, then there is debris in your microphone

I thought about it but then would a "Dirty microphone" not then also affect the sound quality of my phone calls? Because those are crystal clear.

I think it's the app itself.

I doubt it is the microphone if it's working anywhere else. Also s24 series have 3 mics. So that being said, I do believe, deregistering is your best bet

A dirty microphone would have affected your voice on calls, and also on your recorder
