OthersDear Samsung Customer,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your query, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.
Disable the Google ads
Path: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of ads personalization > Disable
Disable Google ads settings
Path: Tap on Ads by Google > Add settings > Disable Google ads settings
Enable pop-up blocker
Path: Internet browser > Settings > Advanced > Enable pop-up blocker
Contain ads function
Kindly check Contain ads function while downloading any app from play store. (If any application contains ads then it is mentioned under the name of that application while downloading from play store).
Samsung Account Privacy Settings
First thing’s first, the best way to avoid ads on your Samsung Galaxy phone is by stopping them before they start. Samsung’s ads are all opt in, so being vigilant during set-up can help you to avoid them. You can find the opt in for ads option in the setup of your Samsung account. The ‘use the customisation service’ toggle will enable personalised promotions on Samsung apps. This won’t fully disable ads but will stop them from being personalised with your data.
If you missed this option during set-up, you can still opt out of personalised ads by following these steps:
Note: Steps may vary as per the device model, OS/One UI version, and country.
Step1: Go to Settings
Step2: Tap on Samsung Account
Step3: Tap on Security and privacy
Step4: Tap on Customisation Service
Step5: Tap on Customised ads and direct marketing to turn off
Block ads from Samsung internet
Note: Steps may vary as per the device model, OS/One UI version, and country.
Step1: Go to Samsung Internet app
Step2: Tap on the 3 lines icon
Step3: Tap on Ad blockers
Step4: Download a suggested ad blocker
Now you are protected from ads.
Check the device in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/
Update device software (If Software update available): https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/
You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember then advise to reset (Forgot password) his/her Google account.
Path: Settings> General Management.>Reset>Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup>After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings.
This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support.
