Coverting JPG ( loosy compression ) to PNG ( looseless comprasion ) is much easier

just rename the file extension ...

but PNG to JPG is complicated

PNG is better than JPG but after renaming the file extension, PNG quality reduced compared to JPG.

yes that is common cause PNG is looseless comprasion , as JPG is lossy comprasion )

rename the file to . png or to jpg

An easy way is to change screenshot format to PNG and then take screen shots of your JPEG.
