I want to back up my gallery photos and videos to OneDrive automatically without enabling auto-sync. If I choose auto-sync, deleting items from my phone would also delete them from the cloud, which I want to avoid.

If u want backups without enabling auto-sync, u should manually move ur files to OneDrive. Also, it's true that if you delete files via the gallery (that have been backed up), it will also delete the file from OneDrive. So, if u want to delete files from ur device, you can go through "free up space," and it will delete the files from ur device that have been backed up.1703730503459.jpg

Please follow the path:
One drive > Me > Settings > camera backup > confirm.
