As a Samsung user, and I'm sure many would agree, there are two major issues in the Galaxy ecosystem that could be improved in the One UI 7 beta:
Duplicate Apps:
Why do we have two messaging apps and two different photo backup solutions? Instead of relying on Google Photos and OneDrive for cloud storage, why not bring back Samsung Cloud, similar to what Apple does with iCloud? Stop using OneDrive and Google Photos as default options and create a Samsung-owned cloud solution. Also, isn't the Microsoft-Samsung partnership over?
Improvements to Samsung Messages:
Why not replace Google Messages as the default app? Or at least bring RCS reactions and message encryption with RCS to Samsung Messages. As far as I remember, MIUI 14 came without Google Messages, which was downloadable from the Play Store; with this, and it fits so well with the UI/UX of software. It just lacked the RCS, but Samsung had RCS (which is still omni-present, I guess?). Stop killing native solutions and make all functions native without relying on other companies, at least for cloud/messages, etc. This would make the Galaxy experience much smoother and make the Samsung ecosystem feel truly unified. I know Google forces OEMs to install their apps but then give an option to delete them too. I had to use ADB to delete Photos, OneDrive, Gmail, G-Messages, and Meet.
Samsung apps are simply made while keeping One UI in mind, which Google ruins. Instead, give the option for which one do you want? For unified Samsung apps, for those who came from other OEMs, can choose Google over Samsung simply.
