I have recently purchased samsung s24+ and i have noticed a strange thing. Suppose i want to send a txt message with attachment then i can't because when clicking on attachment icon it does not open any apps. Also on whatsapp by selecting the attachment icon and then selection browse document it says you do not have an appropriate app for viewning the content.

Similar case in gmail app, I can't send any attachment because my files does not open when clicking on attach option.

Can anyone please help me on this issues as this is troubling me a lottt.

The issue you're experiencing with attaching files on your Samsung S24+ seems to be related to the device's file system or default app settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

File System and Default Apps
1. *Check File System*: Ensure that your device's file system is functioning correctly. Go to _Settings_ > _Battery and device care_ > _Storage_ and check for any errors.
2. *Clear Default Apps*: Clearing default apps might resolve the issue. Go to _Settings_ > _Apps_ > _Three dots_ (top right) > _Show system apps_ > _Storage_ or _Files_ > _Clear defaults_.
3. *Reset App Preferences*: Resetting app preferences can also help. Go to _Settings_ > _Apps_ > _Three dots_ (top right) > _Reset app preferences_.

File Manager and Attachment Settings
1. *Check File Manager*: Ensure that you have a file manager app installed, such as Samsung's My Files or Google Files. Go to _Play Store_ and download a file manager app if needed.
2. *Check Attachment Settings*: Check the attachment settings in your messaging apps. For example, in WhatsApp, go to _Settings_ > _Chats_ > _Media auto-download_ and ensure that the option is enabled.
3. *Clear App Data and Cache*: Clearing app data and cache can resolve issues. Go to _Settings_ > _Apps_ > _Messaging app_ > _Storage_ > _Clear data_ and _Clear cache_.

Additional Steps
1. *Restart Your Device*: A simple reboot can often resolve temporary software issues.
2. *Update Software*: Ensure your device is running the latest software. Go to _Settings_ > _Software update_ > _Download and install_.
3. *Reset Device*: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider performing a factory reset.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to visit an authorized Samsung service center or contact Samsung support for further assistance.
