How to remove New Voicemail notification

How to remove voice mail notification in Android pie? I don't have any voice mail configured for my Airtel postpaid number and this alert appears even after restarting the phone (S8+). Please refer the screenshot.

simply long press and turn of Notifications

It doesn't get cleared that way.. it's a system notification

it can't be turned off

have you turned off the notification, if yes, then how did you do that. i am facing same issue

I have removed the notification myself. Go to settings-Apps-Click on three dots on top right corner-Show system apps-it will now show more than one Phone app-Choose phone app with system icon-choose storage clear cache/data. This will not delete any phone contacts or phone history. The voice mail icon will disappear..
