This is a completely unfair practice by Samsung. As per rules and regulations, if the issue has occurred due to their software, then they are obligated to replace the product free of cost. The problem clearly arose from their software, not from any physical damage caused by the
customer.
As you can see, OnePlus has recently announced a lifetime free screen replacement for all customers if the issue is caused by a software update. But in India, people are staying silent - no one is questioning Samsung - and that's exactly why the company is taking advantage of this situation to save money.
In the end, it's the cus who suffers the loss, while the company continues to grow every day. Now, even for their own software faults, customers are being made to pay. Someone has to stand up and question them; otherwise, Samsung's exploitation in India will keep continuing.
