Blocking messages

I am getting unwanted messages from various traders. In the phone I can block message from numbers either saved in Contact or otherwise. But the messages from traders are from names like JX-RUMMY whom I am not aware. How to block these messages.

Turn on do not disturb from your carrier's app or website. Which carrier do you use? Tell me and I'll share the exact steps to do that.

What? No! You won't get and spam from the carrier or other brands if you register for DND. It adds your number to a blacklist where no communication other than transactional SMS are sent. What do you mean by "mutes but doesn't block"?

Oo, you were talking about Carrier's DND, i thought phone's DND 🤦
I checked myjio app DND but there's no option for blocking spam like JX-RUMMY etc. There isn't any category given which it falls into.

It comes under promotions, so set DND to fully blocked and you should be good to go. I never receive anything from anywhere after turning on DND (except for OTPs and transactional SMS).
