If you are planning to share from or to a redmi phone,they mysteriously dont support wifidirect.Always ends up in a failed attempt. Google is releasing nearby sharing to android devices equipped with marshmallow and above in coming months. Then it will become the best alternative.

I think Xiaomi is deliberately doing this in order to increase the usage of their Sharemi app

@ thaimainthan first enable wifi
go to details on top corner there is an option wifi direct
just enable it
on both the phone and search
once show other mobile name
click on connect
then click on share on right top corner
