Hey
Today's a first day of me noticing this problem. My flip phone completely shuts down when it's fully closed. I have some videos and they say, it's occurring cause of hinge but in video he showed phone shuts down when it's not even fully closed. But I'm not getting that problem. Also before this problem occurred my shuts down and blue screen appears and says ur phone is being updated. Idk what to do.

Hey! It sounds like your *Galaxy Z Flip 4* might be facing a *hardware issue*, likely related to the *hinge flex cable* or an internal connection that’s affected when the phone is fully closed. Here’s what you can do:

🔧 What Might Be Happening:
- *Flex cable issue:* The cable that connects the two halves of the phone can wear out or become loose over time, causing shutdowns when the phone is closed.
- *Firmware glitch:* That "blue screen update" could’ve been a system crash or a bootloader-related bug.
- *Sensor malfunction:* The sensor that detects closing might be sending wrong signals.

---

Try This First:
1. *Update Software:* Go to *Settings > Software update* and ensure everything is up to date.
2. *Boot into Safe Mode:*
- Press and hold the power button.
- Long press on "Power Off" > Tap *Safe Mode*.
- Now test if closing the phone still shuts it down.
- If not, a third-party app may be causing it.
3. *Run Diagnostics in Samsung Members App:*
- Open the *Samsung Members* app.
- Tap *Support > Phone diagnostics*.
- Test *Power, Hinge*, or *Sensor functions*.

---

⚠️ If Problem Persists:
- *Backup your data* immediately.
- Visit your nearest *Samsung Service Center* — they may need to inspect or replace the hinge cable or related internal parts.

If it helps, please 'accept solution' from the three-dot menu in the comment. I will be happy.😊🙏
