Galaxy Z Flip | Galaxy Z FoldI am having the same issue. Because of the scrach on the back side of the hinge the Samsung also doesn't accept the warranty. I also attach the photo of a scracth so you can se it what is the problem. I have this scratch about 6 months but the phone is having this issue now, so in my oppinion this scratch has nothing to do with this problem. I am also very disappointed with Samsung response.
For now I am havng the phone connected to the power bank all the time and it works fine but this is not a permanent solution.

We acknowledge your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and will surely assist you regarding the same and please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
There are two methods to disable the auto-restart function
Method 1: From the home screen swipe up or down to access the App Screen > Setting > General Management > Reset > Auto Restart > To Turn OFF auto-restart slide the slider toward the left.
Method 2: Go to 'Settings'>>Tap on 'Battery and device care'>> Tap on Three dots>>Tap on 'Automation'>>Disable 'Auto-restart at set times' if enabled
If you are facing this issue after installing any new application then uninstall that application.
Navigate to the Apps screen and tap on Settings>>Tap on Apps>>Tap on the desired app>>Tap on Uninstall>>Tap on OK
Reset settings: From the home screen, click on Settings>>General Management>> click on reset and then reset setting.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).

Galaxy Z Flip | Galaxy Z FoldI don t think this problem is a restart issue. I HAVE to restart it repeatedly if I close it... every time I close it starting yesterday. Could you possibly recommend a viable solution?

Galaxy Z Flip | Galaxy Z FoldMine is now having the same issue. I have also tried the troubleshooting and I shouldn't have to hold the power button eventide it shuts down. And Samsung won't replace it since it's a month out of warranty and they tell to go to a service center and also pay out of pocket to have the issue looked at. It's ridiculous and I can't even upgrade this phone because it's not eligible yet and I don't have the money to pay the amount to even do an early upgrade. My worry is if it keeps shutting down will it stay shut down and then I have no phone. If they know this is an issue there should be something done and not at my expense to fix it.
