Flip 4 shutting off while opening or closing the lid

This happened right after I finished the UI update to 5.1.1 and I can't shake the feeling that its a software issue, My flip 4 shuts off everytime I close the lid and funnily I found that if i turn my phone off wait a few secs then close the lid and turn the phone on with lid in close position the phone turns on and I can even use the cover screen just tap it 2 times to wake the cover screen up😂, but If you open the lid the phone shuts off
 
So the shutting off happens while closing/opening, seems like the samsung hinge isn't all that its made out to be, 2lakh folds of marketing gimmick

I had the same issue. But fortunately my phone has warranty. Here is my post.

Unfortunately I bought the phone as soon as it launched so im being penalised for being an early adopter

Well..exactly my point even if you have the phone in your hand it would be difficult to tell, I asked them if I was expected to have a phone with no signs of usage after 13 months of use.....seems like they just need a reason to pin it on you after 1 year so...

Yep. This is being done by all companies now. The worst start with Redmi and POCO. Now its with samsung too. Even people having greenlines after updates are denied replacements with such absurd usage
