s9 rapid battery drain

Hi, over the past month my 1.5 year old s9 goes from 15% to 0% in a minute and this happens even if I put it on charge as soon as i get the 15% alert and even if i am not using the phone when I put it on charge.

Are other s9 users facing the same issue?

Any reason/solution for this?

Use Medium Power Saving Mode

It happens on mine as well but doesn't start from 15%, starts around 5% and comes down to 1% in minutes. I do not know any fix for this.

Guys try recalibrating your battery
First clear cache partition from recovery mode.
Open dialer and dial *#0228# and select quick start. It shows an alert and select okay. I think this may solve your problem...

1. Perform Battery Optimization: Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory
2. Adjust screen timeout settings: Settings> Display> Screen timeout> Select minimum screen timeout.
