How to Remove a Paused One UI 8 Beta Download (S24 Ultra)
Since you've already withdrawn from the One UI 8 beta program but have a paused download that won't go away, here are the most effective methods to remove it completely:
Method 1: Clear Software Update App Data (Most Effective)
Note: Some S24 Ultra users report the three-dot menu is missing, so you may need to use the alternative approach below .
Go to Settings > Apps
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) and select Show system apps
Search for Software update (package name: com.wssyncmldm)
Tap Storage > Clear data and Clear cache
Restart your phone
This method removes the downloaded update package and clears the persistent notification .
Method 2: ADB Command (If UI Options Are Greyed Out)
If the Clear Data buttons are greyed out, you can use ADB commands:
Enable Developer options and USB debugging
Connect to a PC with Android platform-tools
Run these commands:
text
adb devices adb shell am force-stop com.wssyncmldm pm clear com.wssyncmldm
Restart your phone
This method has been confirmed to work by multiple S24 users who faced similar issues .
Method 3: Recovery Mode Cache Wipe
After clearing the Software Update app data:
Power off your phone
Hold Volume Up + Power button until Samsung logo appears
Use volume keys to navigate to Wipe cache partition

Better if you don't flash your device. You don't need to go through adb method or flash your device. Just install beta, and use it. If you don't find it is useful then you can easily downgrade it from smart switch app via laptop. It is safe method.

Just install beta then after you can downgrade to oneui7, you don't need to flash your device.
