Samsung's smartphones have the worst processor starting from the exynos chips. The processor is too bad that even mid range or budget smartphones can outperform the whole of samsung. The thing that they do is they make their top smartphone the most perfect device whereas neglect the lower end flagship models(S20, S20FE, etc). Even Apple's 2019 smartphone has a smoother processor overall. Even if the phone has a lot of RAM or 120 refresh rate, it is completely useless if we cannot even play games on it.

I did they asked me to go the servicing centre for checkup but they have tk take my phone for a day or two and i don't have an extra phone to use during that time

Is it really overheating ? Or, only pop up coming ?
Regarding lag in app, try reupdating software from smart switch or, ask service center to reflash the os
