Galaxy S1. Check Video Call Effects Again (Alternative Method)
Even if you removed the effects, they might still be active in the background.
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Video call effects
Turn off the toggle completely (if it's still on).
Restart your phone and check if the issue persists.
2. Change Camera Settings in Video Calls (If Available)
During a video call, tap on your video preview.
Look for a blur icon or background effects option.
If found, set it to None or Turn Off.
3. Check Each App's Permissions
Go to Settings > Apps > Select the video calling app (e.g., WhatsApp, Google Meet, etc.)
Check Camera Permissions: Ensure it has full access.
Clear Cache & Data: Under Storage, tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
4. Boot into Safe Mode (To check if it's a system-wide issue)
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears.
Tap and hold Power Off > Select Safe Mode.
Try a video call in safe mode. If the background blur disappears, a third-party app or update is causing the issue.
5. Update Software & Apps
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Update all video calling apps from Google Play Store & Galaxy Store.
6. Reset App Preferences (Fixes hidden settings conflicts)
Go to Settings > Apps > Tap the three-dot menu > Reset app preferences.
Restart the phone and test video calls again.
7. Factory Reset (Last Resort)
If nothing works, back up your data and do a factory reset:
Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.
Let me know which method worked for you!😊

Galaxy S6. Reset app preference didn't work.
5. All apps and softwares up to date.
4. Can't open third party app in Safemode.
3. App permissions are ok. Clear cache didn't work either.
2. Camera setting during the video call is not helping either.
1. I don't get option to toggle off turn the video call effects. The button is missing. Can't see it in the quick settings too.
I think there is some setting which has caused this. Checked in my older Samsung F23 5G phone and found the same issue in that phone too. Can't find the toggle button to turn off the video call effects.
Not sure which setting if affecting this.
