I've recently upgraded from an S9 to the S21 Plus. Since there is no longer any headphone jack, I bought an Aux to USB-C adapter in order to play music through my car audio system however I am getting the following error message when plugging in the adapter.

"The connected USB device is not supported."

This error pops up immediately after plugging it into the phone's USB-C port without being connected to the car yet. It does not appear when using the adapter with my S9.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

yes me too. I've tried 5 different adapters but still can't play music through my car stereo. It worked fine with my old phone.

The same problem. Is there any solution to this problem. Or it is intended to work such way?

The solution Kaybe described worked for me in the end, assuming that you guys also intend to use it in a car. I bought an Aux-In Bluetooth dongle and I gotta say, it works wonderfully. No cable required. 😁👍

Have the same issue with my S21. It was this kind of thing that lead me away from Apple and I will do the same with Samsung

I have purchased the dongle.  I purchase ear buds with the USB C.  Nothing has worked all give error of it not being suported.  Hey Samsung....an update in the software to fix this issue with the S21 would be great.
