Smart switch not recognizing backup on usb

I had a poco mobile.  I used smart switch app to create backup to a Sandisk usb.

Now on my new s23 when I connect this usb to restore my old data, backup is not recognized. All my data is in this usb only in encrypted backup data. Need help to restore data from usb to new s23

You can connect your old phone to new phone using usb for transfer data at smart switch.

I exchanged the new old one for new one. So this is not an option

If you transfer your old phone data to external or pen drive then you need to remember the name of the back up file.

Yes it's a new pen drive. There is nothing else on it except for backup

Even the usb is shown as SD card
