Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

We would request you to kindly perform the following steps to take screenshots.

To take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy device, you have several options depending on your model and preferences. The availability of certain features may vary based on your carrier, software version, and device model. Some apps may also block screenshots for privacy or security reasons.

● Using Button Combinations: On most Galaxy devices, the standard method is to simultaneously press and quickly release the Power button (usually on the right side) and the Volume Down button (usually on the left side). A flash on the screen confirms a successful screenshot. If your device has a physical Home button, press and release the Power and Home buttons together instead.

● Using Palm Swipe: Alternatively, you can use a palm swipe. To enable this, go to Settings, search for and select Palm swipe to capture, and then tap the switch to turn it on. Once enabled, swipe the edge of your hand across the screen to capture a screenshot.

● Using Voice Commands: For hands-free screenshots, use your voice assistant. Say "Hey Bixby, take a screenshot" for Bixby or "Hey Google, take a screenshot" for Google Assistant. Bixby also allows chained commands, such as taking a screenshot and immediately sharing it to an app like Twitter.

● Using the S Pen: If your device is compatible with an S Pen, you can use the Screen write function. Remove the S Pen, navigate to the desired screen, tap the Air command menu icon, and select Screen write. You can then edit the screenshot before saving.

● Using the Tasks Edge Panel: You can also use the Tasks Edge panel for a screenshot shortcut:

1. Swipe left on the Edge panel handle (on the right side of the screen) to open the panel.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the bottom, then swipe to and tap the Tasks panel to select it.
3. Tap Edit. Swipe to and tap Take screenshot on the left side to add it to your shortcuts. Take screenshot selected on a Samsung Galaxy phone(Note: This shortcut may already be added.)
4. You can add or remove shortcuts here. To remove, tap the red minus icon. (Note: You can't add more than twelve shortcuts.)
5. Navigate to the screen you want to capture.
6. Swipe left on the Edge panel handle, then swipe again to open the Tasks panel. Tap Take screenshot. Take screenshot selected on the Tasks panel.

● Using Scroll Capture: For long pages, take a standard screenshot, then tap the Scroll capture icon (two arrows pointing down) to capture the entire page in one image.

● Viewing and Sharing Screenshots: To view and share screenshots: Open the Gallery app, tap Albums, then tap the Screenshots folder. Select your screenshot, tap the Share icon, and choose your sharing method. Alternatively, open the My Files app, tap Images, select your screenshot, tap the Share icon, and choose your sharing method.

● Additional Editing Options: After taking a screenshot, you can use the Draw option (the pencil icon) at the bottom of the screen to draw on or crop the screenshot before saving.

If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
