Samsung's Update Policy Raises Concerns: Is It Time to Switch to Google??

Samsung’s update policy has become a concerning reality. It seems the company is more focused on producing new devices rather than ensuring proper updates for existing ones.
Meanwhile, many other companies continue to support their devices with the latest updates — for example, Google’s Pixel 7 Pro.
Honestly, I'm seriously considering switching to Google devices.

Please note that each Samsung device is designed with specific specifications, and accordingly, it comes with a defined software update support. This typically includes a number of years of major Android updates and security patches, which varies by model and region.

Dear Samsung Support,

Thank you for your response.

However, I would like to express my concern as a user of the Galaxy S24. Based on Samsung’s official statements and promotional commitments, the update to One UI 7 was expected to roll out across all supported regions. Yet until now, this update has not been released for my device, despite it being one of the latest flagship models.

Samsung, as a global tech leader, is expected to maintain consistency and reliability in its promises—especially when it comes to software updates. It's surprising that such a major update would be launched without thorough testing or proper regional rollout planning.

Moreover, there's a noticeable disparity in how updates are handled between regions, with Europe and the US receiving priority access to updates (including Beta versions), while the Middle East and Gulf regions are consistently delayed or excluded. This creates a sense of neglect among loyal users in these areas.

As customers, we believe that all users-regardless of region deserve equal attention and timely support, especially when official timelines have been shared. We hope Samsung addresses this imbalance and ensures timely and transparent communication moving forward.
