Dear Samsung Team,

As a loyal Samsung fan who has proudly chosen your devices over the years, I am writing to express my growing concern and disappointment with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung has always been synonymous with bold innovation, pushing boundaries, and delivering cutting-edge technology. Unfortunately, this time, it feels like the spirit of Samsung's innovation is waning.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra seems to rely heavily on software improvements—primarily driven by Google—while offering no significant hardware changes and even introducing some downgrades. This is a far cry from the Samsung I know and love, which always went above and beyond to deliver industry-leading hardware that complemented its software.

It’s disheartening to see Samsung follow Apple’s path of incremental updates with minimal effort to stand out. This is especially evident in features like camera systems and design, where Samsung once reigned supreme but now seems to settle for iteration instead of revolution.

For the first time, I see no compelling reason to upgrade from my Galaxy S24 Ultra—a device I deeply value but expected to be outshone by its successor. Instead, the S25 Ultra feels like a step backward, lacking the innovation and excitement that used to define your flagship releases.

Samsung built its reputation on being different—on leading the way. I urge you to reignite that spark and focus on what made so many of us loyal fans in the first place: daring, meaningful innovation. Please don’t let this trend of mediocrity continue.

Sincerely

A Proud but Disheartened Samsung Fan

Two-way satellite messaging for emergencies, ensuring connectivity even in remote areas.

144Hz Display with Adaptive Refresh Rate (1Hz to 144Hz)
Enhanced gaming and smooth scrolling, with better power efficiency during static content display.

Larger Battery Capacity (5,500mAh or Higher)
A significant improvement in battery life to handle power-intensive tasks throughout the day.

Faster Charging Speeds (150W Wired & 50W Wireless)
Ultra-fast charging times, keeping the device powered up with minimal downtime.

Improved Fingerprint Scanner
A larger ultrasonic sensor for faster and more reliable unlocking, even with wet or slightly off-center fingers.

Ram could have been increased

Hi. Ok. That's quite a list. I'm looking forward to seeing & test-driving it myself, before drawing conclusions. I think there's more to a phone than specs.

I completely agree that there’s more to a phone than just specs, and I appreciate that Samsung has improved wireless charging with Qi2. However, implementing Qi2 without magnets feels like a missed opportunity. Magnetic alignment could have made wireless charging more reliable, and it would have been a great addition for accessories like battery packs and mounts.

Looking back, every Galaxy S phone from the first S series to the S21 Ultra felt unique and groundbreaking. The S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra design is solid, but it lacks the distinctiveness that Samsung was once known for. It feels like Samsung may be following Apple’s incremental update strategy, which, while practical, doesn’t generate the same excitement for those of us who expect bold innovations.

Take the leap from S21 Ultra to S22 Ultra—it was a major upgrade, merging the Note and S series, adding the S Pen, and refreshing the design. In comparison, the move from S24 Ultra to S25 Ultra feels more incremental than transformative.

Don’t get me wrong—the S25 Ultra will no doubt be the best phone of 2025. But imagine if Samsung had brought their magic touch—more bold innovations, a few more standout features—like they used to with every release. As a die-hard Samsung fan, I can’t help but feel it could have been even better.

I think the s26 will be a major redesign. Better stick with what you have if it is working.
