Galaxy SI’m really disappointed with how Samsung UAE is handling a widespread issue. After a recent software update, a green vertical line suddenly appeared on my daughter’s Samsung phone screen. We did not drop or damage the phone — this clearly happened after the update, and I’ve seen many others reporting the same problem.
When I took the phone to the Samsung service center in the UAE, I was told the repair would cost AED 735, and that it’s “not covered under warranty.” That’s it — no acknowledgment of the issue being update-related, no responsibility taken.
Meanwhile, Samsung service centers in India are replacing screens for free, regardless of warranty status. So why are UAE customers being treated differently?
This is a known manufacturing defect. Why should loyal customers here bear the cost?
Samsung — we expect fairness and consistency. Has anyone else in the UAE faced this issue? What was your experience?
