I recently bought a s23 ultra(unlocked us verison) from usa suprisingly i am not getting any 5g network either from jio and airtel when i try to register in app it says your device not compatible.

This is a known issue for devices from US , Canada as they dont have stand alone band enabled , did you get one ui 6 update?

If you are permanently going to stay in india you can check this on xda developer website you will find the solution but its more technical so if you are tech savy you can do it, if you are here temporarily i would suggest dont do it or you can also switch to airtel 5g it will work

Its upto the network providers as they might have restricted it to Indian devices only until 5G is commerfially rolled out. Atleast thats the case with Jio

I have iphone 15 pro from us on which jio 5g works fine. Problem is with Samsung fones
