Since December 28th, my Samsung Galaxy S22+ has had a green line on the display. Despite contacting the authorized service center via email and phone, and visiting their location in person, a free screen replacement has been denied. They insist on charging for the repair, citing ineligibility for a free replacement. As the defect appears to be software-related, rather than caused by physical damage, I believe Samsung should provide a complimentary screen replacement.

Their refusal suggests a lack of customer care and prioritization of profit over customer satisfaction, especially considering the recent software update potentially causing this widespread issue among S22 users. This situation severely impacts brand trust. I request urgent attention to this matter and a prompt resolution.

You are absolutely right
Recently Samsung phones got to many dead motherboard and display issues. Your only hope is this issue gets spread out in social media causing Samsung to give free replacement. So, go there and see how common this issue has became. Also, Samsung has best display tech but not the best quality control on hardware and software.
Theg should give lifetime warranty on motherboard and display or at the latest longer warranty on these if they are sure that there hardware and software has no quality issues.

Display is one of the hardwares OEMs make money with. So, obviously, samsung won't replace it at free of cost, as people know the value of their brand.

Samsung is offering complimentary screen replacements for all S21 series and S22 Ultra models. However, this policy does not extend to the S22 and S22 Plus models.

I already did that. However, they declined to offer a complimentary screen replacement and instead requested payment of approximately ₹16,500 for the display repair.

Would you as a customer, be willing to pay for repair costs if your device was damaged due to a software update and not by mishandling on your side? I believe it is only fair that Samsung takes responsibility for this issue and covers the repair costs.
