Please upgrade Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's current OS to Android 8.0 Oreo OS. This device is awesome so please continue to support this once in a lifetime device as much as possible. Thank you.

they already did as much as possible it was released years ago with lollipop then got M and later N
maybe it will get 7.1.1 later but thats the last major update it will get

NO MAJOR UPDATE ...2 OR 3 TIMES GET MINOR UPDATE

Why no more then 2 major update for this awesome device? Look at Apple they are still supporting Iphone 5 which launched in 2012. Why Samsung is not supporting S6 Edge which is much more superior popular and younger then Iphone 5. The truth is because of no more then 2 major update and support issue most people switch from Samsung to Apple. Samsung needs to support and give major updates to its flagship devices for at least 5 years.

Because it takes less effort for Apple to push updates as they have both the hardware and software in their control. Meanwhile Samsung has to rely on Google for updates and then optimise them, and carry out extensively testing on them before releasing the update. That's a lot of time and effort to spend on a 3 year old phone whose production stopped more than 1.5 years ago.
