Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Exynos 2100 low battery life

Hi all,

I just received my galaxy s21 ultra (exynos). Was highly disappointed with the battery life and screen on time. I'm getting a screen on time of 5.5 hours typically and 19 hours battery life overall. This is totally not inline with the YouTube battery drain tests... Which easily surpass 7+ hours in screen on time.

My daily usage is fairly normal... Just YouTube, WhatsApp, news browsing and songs playing etc...No 5G. Not much gaming.

Phone settings are all default... display has adaptive refresh at FHD+

Is there something wrong with my S21 ultra?

you are using 2 sim cards, whice consume more power. Battery life also depends on your strength of your career network. if you stayed in lower strengthen network area it consumes more Battery.

I really think that maybe something's off with my handset... all YouTube reviews show screen on time of 7-8 hours...
I don't think dual SIM has that much impact. I've disabled 5G

Cellular data consumes more battery than wifi and it also depends on apps running in the background

99% of the time it's WiFi and cellular data is off. apps are normal... nothing special or draining... YouTube, chrome, WhatsApp etc... not even much of camera use

try clearing cache in recovery mode

hey, looks like wiping cache in recovery has helped... will post the results after few runs

looks like it's heavily dependent on usage... wherever you are interacting with the display the refresh rate is 120 FPS, but when you don't Interact... it drops to fixed 60 FPS. I did not see any other refresh count.

I did a battery test from 100% to 50% and ran only YouTube in full screen and 45% brightness it came out to be 8 hours screen on time. however on the other hand when you are interacting with the screen during screen on time, it reduces...
