SMART SWITCH UPDATE FOR BUG FREE EXPERIENCE

Hello all,

I would be happy to share my update experience for so many years with samsung mobiles, be it my 1st J8, my nxt A51 or now being a proud S24 Ultra owner.

I have seen many people complaining about various kinda' bugs after Major (sometimes minor) updates, be it in the UI, or display issues, or animations and so on....

I would personally suggest u all to update your devices via SAMSUNG SMART SWITCH application for any Major updates like the current One UI 7 update, and if possible for minor updates too....

I have always updated all my phones via Smart switch and have got a wonderful experience till date.... NO MAJOR ISSUES, ALMOST NO BUGS or any Network drops, phone heating issues or the worst display/ motherboard issues... One or two minor bugs might be seen very rarely but then the other update usually fixes it though...

Kindly do not update your devices via OTA for major UI updates for a good bug-free experience. Samsung smart switch app initially downloads all files from the server directly even over a worst and unreliable network connection and checks all the download files for a seamless update experience therafter before an update begins... but an OTA update, the mobile usually doesnt check the files for its intergrity and struggles to download complete files over an unreliable, unstable networks.

A little time consuming process but a bug free experience guaranteed though...

The process..

1. Connect ur Samsung mobile to any laptop/desktop preinstalled with Smart switch application via Samsung authorised USB cable (for safe experience) but have used other cables still suggest u to use brand ones to avoid any unease

2. Open Smartswitch on ur laptop, click connect from ur smartphone, and viola u r connected!

3. If there's any update available at the time, the application automatically shows 

" A update is available - Click to update " text. Click on the blue update icon and shows few instructions for u to follow and please read them once and accept them all.

4. Keep ur computer connected to a reliable power supply and DO NOT DISCONNECT your mobile at any cost, i seriously repeat do not disconnect ( but though i have risked myself and disconnected sometimes to check what happens, but the smart app realizes our dumb act and pauses the update till we reconnect 😅). But i request u all to never attempt to disconnect ur phone after the update gets downloaded and installation begins as there are high chances of getting ur devices permanently bricked

5. It takes usually about an hr to complete the process and yup... now ur phone restarts and is done with updation....

If I would have known the cons of this update, i would have never updated to this and happily stayed on OneUI 6.1
But i have updated it without knowing the cons and now regretting the update.

Font became too small. Increasing font size is only making things worse


2. Charging animation removed

3. Live wallpapers removed

4. No problems with Camera and video

5. 5x5 grid arrangement in Apps screen is not available

6. Could not find out how to reduce the size of icons in the apps screen

7. Cannot remove or move search bar in Apps screen

8. Cannot remove Bixby from apps screen

9. The battery icon in notification area is ultra super worst looking. You cannot change it. Not even colored icon

10. Cannot remove music volume bar and the play music bar when we pull down the notification bar

11. Blutooth, Alarms, NFC icons removed. You cannot see them if they are active or not from the lock screen. You need to unlock phone, then pull down the notification bar to see their status.

12. Nowbar not working

13. Ambient wall papers not working

14. Call background animation removed

15. Weather animation removed

Same you can do with Samsung service center computer. If some has problems n bugs..Samsung service has same update. The also provides this service
