I have the same issue on S965F S9 + 64GB model, issue started after update Android 10 UI 2.5.

PWM Free can be found on XDA Developers and can be used as a workaround.

Oled Saver can be used as well but PWM Free gives better stability, still green but it is not flickering at least, and auto brightness feature is not working with those two apps, you have to adjust them manually.

This goes directly to Samsung, since there is no updates post January security patch 2021, what are you doing to fix this, or are your trying to force us to upgrade from phones which are still "good" and blazing fast even in 2021.

This has something to do with cooling and refresh rate for device, clearly samsung is doing nothing to fix this, Safe mode, reset, i have tried even to flash the phone, i have rooted the phone as well, but we are unable to downgrade to stock due to this **bleep** update that you have released.

Screen works perfectly fine with Always on display, when unlocked on power button it goes green, also goes for fingerprint iris etc.

I'm assuring you that i won't stop until we get update from samsung and not some shity generic response to boot phone in safe mode, factory reset, adaptive display, dark mode etc.

We have already tried that.

Please let us know if there will at least be update or not.

I there any solution or fix provided by Samsung yet?

I started facing the same problem on my S9+ after installing MAY21 security patch.

Service center people said that the Display will need to be replaced. Not sure if this is a hardware issue or a software bug to which samsung is not providing any fix. I guess other android phones using Samsung display panel are also facing the issue.

Hate to say this but... Buy a new phone. It seems to be cheeky planned obsolescence of Samsung products.

I spent hours looking online for a solution, also contacted Samsung but they said they can look at my screen and replace it (out of warranty...). I bought a new cheep smartphone and I'm not bothered anymore. I use the old Samsung S9 plus as music hub... to play Spotify on loud speakers

Still nothing. As there's an AOD workaround it is clearly a SW problem and Samsung is doing nothing. Same issue on multiple types of phones and no response. This is exactly the reason why Apple has such a big community and Samsung does not. For 3 years I was really happy user of the S9+ with led view cover, an expensive combo. I wanted to buy the S21 or S22 again with the led cover which is perfect but no chance anymore. No problem to pay extra but without a customer care? No way!
