S9 Display

So after 1.8 years my S9 finally developed some snag with the display. It has turned yellowish (like you would have night mode on all the time) and it flickers in colors depending upon it's mood.

So went to service center and was told display needs a replacement costing Rs 16,500. This is now 2 generations old phone and new one on Flipkart retails at 26k.

This is not a complaint but Samsung you really need to reevaluate how you are pricing spares based on device's market relevance.

i think u have to talk to the another service center , as i remember they have changed me about 12k for my s9plus's display after discount,

Interesting. This service center staff was rude too so another reason to go elsewhere. But don't you think even 12k is overpriced? Anyways I am not repairing this. Battery heats up too so it needs motherboard change too. Effectively will go for a new phone instead like A31 at 22k.

1st thing, not only u bro but so much user's of s series and Note series are facing that yellowish display problem, if u have noted that the community manager is also mentioned these problem in his list,
2nd i m completely agree with u that price are very high for the parts,

Nope there's no yellowish display problem if you use it properly.

@Bravetiger I have two S9 and one S9+ and only one S9 has gone defective. All my devices are handled with pristine care so can say with confidence it is a device issue.

same problem also present and service guy saying freaking 18k panel replacement cost

same issue with my s9+.. tried selling it on cashify today. The display was the first thing he checked., told me too many s9 and s9+ going on sale these days and most of them have same issue.
