Well I recently did hard reset...and plugged a external memory in it...and haven't installed gear vr apps too...i guess those vr apps used to suck my battery

i don't have games neither any VR apps and no social media except whatsapp but after April security patch update my battery lasts only for 14 hrs

I guess hard reset should help you...it helped me...or go to care and get your software changed...and I think Samsung switch should help too

so I need to backup everything and restore? and reinstall my apps? how does switch helps. Let me know

I found the following information online...and this should help..you need good network connection for it..

---Reinstall or find original firmware with SmartSwitch---

1. To prepare for this you need your phone:
Model number
Serial Number
Both of these can be found under your battery, or if your phone is working in Settings > My device

2. Connect to SmartSwitch in DOWNLOAD MODE and go to MORE > Emergency Software Recovery and Initialisation.

3. Put in your phone Name and Serial number.


4. If SmartSwitch will initialise your phone, accept.


5. SmartSwitch will now install the correct firmware for your phone.

More than 1 gb data will be required as this will change the whole firmware.
