There is no issue with the image shift. It is happening because of lens switching. 3x Optical Camera is the smaller one & the 5x Optical Camera is the last bigger sensor. So, if you switch in between these two lenses, it happens only at a specific distance from the object. I saw the same mechanism in my friend's S23 Ultra & compared side by side. Beyond that specific distance (where you are experiencing an image shift), switching is so smooth. You can check by yourself by comparing S24 Ultra with previous generations too.
Also, by disabling Camera Assistant (disabling Auto lens switching) & when the phone switches in between 3x to 5x with the same lens (main/5x lens), there is no image shifting. I tested thoroughly & precisely with my S24 Ultra. There's no issue. This is just another misinformation or misunderstanding.
