Galaxy SSamsung has truly outdone itself with the Galaxy S25 series. From the powerful processor to the upgraded camera and the refined design, it's a masterpiece. However, one change has left me unsure about upgrading from my current Samsung S24 Ultra—the S Pen.
The S Pen Downgrade: A Dealbreaker?
Surprisingly, Samsung has removed Bluetooth features from the S Pen, meaning:
✔️ No more Air Gestures
✔️ No more using it as a remote shutter button for the camera
These were genuinely useful features, and their absence feels like a step back.
Why Would Samsung Do This?
Here are some possible reasons behind this decision:
1️⃣ Cost Saving – While it may not affect consumers directly, Samsung saves significantly across millions of units.
2️⃣ Battery Optimization – Removing Bluetooth likely reduces power consumption.
3️⃣ Weight & Space Reduction – The device might be a few milligrams lighter and have more internal space.
4️⃣ Future Accessory Sales – Could Samsung launch a separate Bluetooth-enabled S Pen? Hopefully, they don’t go the Apple route—charging extra for every little feature. (Or worse, the Barbie approach: “Each piece sold separately”!)
Should I Upgrade?
The S25 Ultra is undeniably impressive, but losing S Pen’s Bluetooth features makes me hesitant. What do you think? Would you upgrade despite this change?
