S24 Ultra Users: To Update or Not to Update to One UI 7? Seeking Your Advice!

Hey everyone,
I'm an S24 Ultra user here in India, and my phone is currently not on One UI 7 yet. I've been seeing a lot of discussions and concerns lately, especially about significant battery drain issues after the One UI 7 update.
Naturally, this has made me hesitate about updating my device. My battery life is currently good, and I'd really prefer to keep it that way!
So, for those of you who HAVE updated your S24 Ultra to One UI 7:
 * Knowing what you know now, would you recommend updating?
 * Have you personally experienced the battery drain issues that many are reporting?
 * If you did experience battery drain, has the May 2025 security patch (or any other subsequent updates) helped resolve it for you? Or are the issues still ongoing?
And for those who have also been holding off:
 * What are your reasons for waiting?
 * Are you planning to update soon, or are you waiting for a specific fix or a later patch?
I'm trying to weigh the benefits of the new One UI 7 features against the potential risk of significantly worse battery life. Your real-world experiences would be incredibly helpful in making an informed decision.
Thanks in advance for your input!

Do not update. I repeat DO NOT UPDATE.
All you get is some visual changes and mere security enhancements at the cost of battery drain and heating. Dont know what they tested for 6 months in beta. Phone still functions the same. I'll say, wait for couple more months and see if things change.

They say one ui 8 fixes all the problems. Yet, it is samsung we are talking about.

One UI 8 is even worse in battery management. It's hardly providing 4–5 hours of screen-on time. 😅

So, if anyone has concerns regarding battery performance and unusual device heating, kindly don't update for at least 3–5 months until positive user experiences are reported.
