There is no such an issue with the image shift. It is happening because of lens switching.

As we all know 3x Optical Camera is the smaller one & the 5x Optical Camera is the last bigger sensor. So, if you switch in between these two lenses, it happens only at a specific distance from the object.

I saw the same mechanism in my friend's S23 Ultra & compared side by side with my bare eyes. Beyond that specific distance (where you are experiencing an image shift), switching is so smooth. You can check by yourself by comparing S24 Ultra with previous generations too.

Also, by disabling Camera Assistant (disabling Auto lens switching) & when the phone switches in between 3x to 5x with the same lens (main/5x lens), there is no image shifting.
I tested thoroughly & precisely with my S24 Ultra at different scenarios. There's no issue. This is just another misinformation or misunderstanding.

Enjoy your S24 Ultra & stop spreading misinformation.
1. If this issue is such a big problem why MKBHD, Mrwhosethebose or any other big YouTubers talk about this?
2. Is this issue hard to notice for them?

Only a random person on Twitter (X) talked about this. Think about this.

Yep exactly my point bro about vivid mode I mean as a galaxy user my preference had always been vivid because of that punchy display and that's how samsung makes there display I'm fine if they r kind of fine tuning display and making it more natural but that mode should be still there and let users decide wat they want
Going apple way is good but if u remove main USP of galaxy devices then why buy samsung

See, the vivid color is actually boosting colors after all. But that thing is just emulating the P3 color space I believe, which i think some people might have issue with because you never know how a person's eyereacts to each color space after all. Also that might be the reason why battery drain was huge, because over boosted colors on an 8-bit display. Therefore samsung might be dialing down the over boosted color space, but in the process they forget to turn on the vivid mode inside the code. The new vivid mode might be a bit more punchy, but might be dialled down in comparison to the previous devices. Which I feel is ok. Other than that grainy display in low light especially in extra dim mode is a software glitch. Nothing else.

PS: these are my thoughts on this matter. Might be different from others, but assumptions are open for discussions.

Exactly wat I said in my previous post majority of the guys are liking display very much but I'm more of a person who kind of like that punchy colours
My point is that mode actually does more Than just saturating colours u can kind of make ur colours more on cooler side or warmer side depending upon ur choice secondly don't know about others but on galaxy phones blue looks really ugly to adjust that colour tone this thing plays a huge role

Yes true. However, what I generally recommend people about these things is to wait for first few software updates, as post launch they try to fix all software glitches in the new device.

Not targetting all, including you, but people are seemingly impatient, even when they know that these generally happens in new devices and the brand works to fix them with software updates post devices going on sale.

Yep I agree with u on this display thing has been blown out of proportion but again it's those who traded there s23 ultra for s24 ultra I understand all the things that yes it's a software issue samsung has already acknowledged it and are full aware of issue and would surely solve it basically this issue has gone so far is just coz of samsung customer care guys u c some say it's hardware issue and some say it's software issue which is more correct than hardware thing but here the issue is people who gave away s23 ultra are feeling that even after paying those extra bucks there display is inferior to s23 ultra so the backlash

Mine got a shadow when switching. I came to know that lens shift is normal, as I never used ultra before, but there is a certain shadow when switching. Therefore SC said that they will get to know the DOA issuing process, only then it will be issued for me.

I don't understand why you guys are saying there's no such issue when samsung itself is agreed on this and issuing replacements. Also there's proof posted by users comparing two different s24 ultra one which clearly have issue and other which is completely fine.
This issue is for limited devices so if you got good unit then this doesn't mean that there is no issue.
I have faced shifting of image in my device after 1 sec of switching the lens.

Good luck with your replacement & don't forget to share your experience with your replacement unit if it is still the same. 👍
