I have updated my battery life is pretty same as before. I didn't notice any major changes at all. But do wipe cache partition after the update and during update make sure your phone is not hot at all
I know this, but my friends updated their phones and faced battery drain and camera degradation, and they also wiped the cache partition after the update.
