S23 Ultra battery

Guys, anyone ? 

If the battery is on 80% mode ( maximum protection mode ) I am charging twice every day to get minimum 7 hour SOT. ( 5 - 6h on first charge ) 

- no games apps. 

- average use of social apps. 

- brightness 20% 

- Updated to latest software. (Yes, Battery drain too 😪)

1. Is everyone charging twice on max protection ? 

2. if we charge twice every day doesn't the battery cycle increase ? And battery life reduce ? 

3. So are the battery modes a gimmick in samsung ?

Same with me as well. Well 80 percent charge is not a gimmick. As far as I know, a complete charge cycle is from 0 to 100 and vice versa. If you are keeping it in between 15 to 80 percent, then it's not a full cycle. So more longevity.

But I still hope that with Nov update they solve these battery drain issues. Although the company as usual denies that there is any issue with battery, but definitely before update the standby time used to be much better.

I've come to a wise decision not to use 80%charge limit , here's why, although you charge only until 80% and charge it next time its not like you will have 0 charge cycles, it still counts , and also unlike all other mobile oems who reduce charging speed only after 90 to 95 % samy reduces well after 80 . But only use for it is after about your battery health reduces to 80 % and then you remove the charge limit , it manipulates you into thinking of having the same SOT .

I am also facing severe battery drain issue. Only 4 hours SOT. I am also charging to 80% but then needs to charge twice a day. S23 ultra battery draining issue needs to be addressed by Samsung.
