Since purchase back in March 2023, when charging my S23 Ultra, some times (like 3 out if 5 times) charging just stops while connected to the charger. Without me touching the cable or phone. I will have to remove the cable and insert again for the charging to continue.
I thought first that it could be a software issue, but with now a number of consecutive monthly software updates, my guess is that if it was a software issue occurring on many devices globally, it would have been resolved by Samsung.
I have tried different charges, but issue remains.
Different sockets, different cables, including Samsung, UGreen 100w 5A, iPad Air cable, but issue remains.
Also I make sure that phone is not overheating at all while charging and my room is always air-conditioned.
Issue is super frustrating because I would leave my phone on charger for like an hour thinking i would come back to a fully charged phone, only to find out it stopped charging a long time ago at 44%.
Please let me know if anyone is facing the same issue.
Is it a known issue to Samsung?
Any recommendations?
Many thanks.

If you actually tried all the above
Then it is not a problem on your behalf
It's on your phone's

So double check inside the usb port itself

Turn off your phone
Put a little bit of water into the port
Use any kind of brushes or even your teeth brush to clean it out
Let it dry for a minute
You can also try charging while the phone is off first just to make sure 100% it is not a software related issue

Hi,

Kindly make sure that the phone is updated to the last software update, you should use the original charger. If the issue still exists you should check the device and the charger in one of the service centers.
