Galaxy SLet's analyze the situation and explore potential causes and fixes:
Since the problem started after the latest software update and persists even after a factory reset, it strongly suggests a software-related issue, such as a bug or incompatibility introduced by the update.
Here's what I recommend:
Report the Issue to Samsung:
Use the Samsung Members app to report the issue directly to Samsung. This is the most important step. Go to the "Support" section and choose "Error reports".
Check Samsung Community Forums:
Search the Samsung Community forums for your device model (Galaxy S22) to see if other users are experiencing similar issues after the update. If others are reporting the same problem, it further suggests a widespread software bug.
Check for Software Updates (Again):
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Even if you've already updated to the latest version, check again to see if Samsung has released a hotfix or patch to address the issues reported by users.
Clear Cache Partition:
Clearing the cache partition can sometimes resolve issues with system features. To do this:
Turn off your phone completely.
Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button at the same time until the Samsung logo appears.
Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe cache partition" and press the Power button to select it.
Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "Yes" and press the Power button to confirm.
Once the cache partition is wiped, select "Reboot system now" and press the Power button to restart your phone.
Safe Mode:
To enter Safe Mode:
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears.
Long-press the "Power off" option until you see the "Safe mode" prompt.
Tap "Safe mode" to restart your device in Safe Mode.
In Safe Mode, use your phone normally and see if the System UI or One UI Home issues occur. If they don't, a third-party app is likely the culprit. You'll need to uninstall apps one by one to find the problematic one.
Smart Switch (Reinstall Firmware):
Connect your phone to a computer and use the Smart Switch software.
Smart Switch has an option to reinstall the firmware on your phone. This can sometimes fix software issues that a regular factory reset doesn't resolve. Important: This will erase all data on your phone, so be sure to back up your important files first.
Given that the issue started after a software update and persists even after a factory reset, it's highly likely that it's a software-related problem that Samsung needs to address with a future update. Reporting the issue to Samsung Support and checking the community forums are the most important steps you can take.
