I have an s22 ultra which i bought in FEB 2022. Got with samsung care+ for extra protection for 2 years.
The phone was working fine but after the recent update in August I started getting issues.

Firstly started with network issues. I thought its a sim problem at first, Got my sim replaced and even tried eSIM. But still the same issue.

Then 2 weeks back while scrolling through Instagram the phone screen hanged and the it went off and kept restarting but got stuck on samsung logo. Didn't turn on. Then few times I got some blue screen saying DOWNLOAD and few more things in Chinese.

I looked it up online and found out I wasn't the only one. After the update soooo many people have faced the same issue.

I took the phone to samsung. They said the motherboard needs to be replaced and it will cost AED1700!! My samsung care expired like 6 months back.

The technician suggested that I show my phone to local phone repair shops as it will cost cheaper to fix the phone there. But even they couldn't fix the phone as even they said that the motherboard is gone.

What is this samsung. A flagship device which I paid AED5499 lasted only 2 years and 6 months because of YOUR software issues.

Samaung should be fixing these devices for free for their software issues that ruined the motherboard.

I have really lost trust in samsung after this issue..

You should really take responsibility for what your software has done to the device.

Hello. Sorry to hear this.

Something may have clearly been going on with your phone. The freezes, the messages in Chinese, etc. Your phone also might have been failing prior to the update, without you being aware. You may have installed apps or made modifications yourself, etc. I'm saying, it is difficult to know your exact specifics.

So many people also have this device and have no issues at all. I suggest you work patiently with a competent service centre to carefully and properly diagnose your device, and fix it.

I did not receive any service order number or receipt. I had visited the service center inside Dubai Mall Samsung store on 2nd September. They took the phone for diagnosis and asked me to come after 40mins. They did not give me any paper or receipt saying that they checked the phone. Just handed me the device.

I am one among those many people!

My s22 ultra just went brick few days back just like that, while browsing through web. As you mentioned Samsung logo comes up sometimes and the blue screen at times but never booted up fully!

Today the service centre guys say that motherboard is damaged and cost Rs.42k. Irony is that the resale value of phone is below 20k!

Not sure if it's because of the latest update, but I do agree that there were some performance issues after update, especially the network and battery.

Flagship phone going brick after 2.5 years can only be in your worst nightmares. I held on to this phone hoping to replace it with s25 once launched. But now my trust on Samsung has completely gone!😞

I am one of those people as well. 2 years and 3 months for a flagship phone is an absolute disgrace . and the worst part is neither the online support or the service center people are taking responsibility for anything.

Me and a couple of friends went flagship 2 years ago and i was the only one going samsung instead of apple saying they are the best.

Thank you samsung for letting your valued customer down. Never buying samsung again.

Same thing happened to me last week. Enen though I used everything from Samsung and have kept the phone in pristine condition, this still happened. This is Samsung planned obsolescence. What is the point of providing 7 or 4 years of updates when the hardware doesn't even last that long. I am never buying anything from Samsung or letting anyone I know commit the same mistake. Samsung itself is doing the job of increasing Apples market cap with their shoddy products and especially poor customer service. You can only cheat a customer once; I got cheated and now I am moving to apple.
