I have an s22 ultra which i bought in FEB 2022. Got with samsung care+ for extra protection for 2 years.
The phone was working fine but after the recent update in August I started getting issues.

Firstly started with network issues. I thought its a sim problem at first, Got my sim replaced and even tried eSIM. But still the same issue.

Then 2 weeks back while scrolling through Instagram the phone screen hanged and the it went off and kept restarting but got stuck on samsung logo. Didn't turn on. Then few times I got some blue screen saying DOWNLOAD and few more things in Chinese.

I looked it up online and found out I wasn't the only one. After the update soooo many people have faced the same issue.

I took the phone to samsung. They said the motherboard needs to be replaced and it will cost AED1700!! My samsung care expired like 6 months back.

The technician suggested that I show my phone to local phone repair shops as it will cost cheaper to fix the phone there. But even they couldn't fix the phone as even they said that the motherboard is gone.

What is this samsung. A flagship device which I paid AED5499 lasted only 2 years and 6 months because of YOUR software issues.

Samaung should be fixing these devices for free for their software issues that ruined the motherboard.

I have really lost trust in samsung after this issue..

You should really take responsibility for what your software has done to the device.

Same thing happened to me last week. Enen though I used everything from Samsung and have kept the phone in pristine condition, this still happened. This is Samsung planned obsolescence. What is the point of providing 7 or 4 years of updates when the hardware doesn't even last that long. I am never buying anything from Samsung or letting anyone I know commit the same mistake. Samsung itself is doing the job of increasing Apples market cap with their shoddy products and especially poor customer service. You can only cheat a customer once; I got cheated and now I am moving to apple.

I have faced the same issue and they are asking for 35k for motherboard replacement and I know it's just happened after their last patch update. It's better to buy some other brand, don't go for SAMSUNG, never ever.

Same thing happened to me. I purchased my 2 devices S22 ultra in March 2022 in India, updated one recently in September and the next day my phone crashed and didn't boot up. Samsung Service agent said mother board needs to be replaced. This issue needs to be taken up with Samsung immediately. I am not able to even retrieve my data. My trust with samsung is shattered after knowing that many people are facing the same issues globally. Samsung has to give us a solution to get our phone with data back. This is not acceptable.

Same here!

My Samsung S22 Ultra has been stuck on reboot loop since 3 days!

The service center doesn't seem to have decent diagnostic available for such a big brand - all they can do is factory reset or change mother board.

It is really scary how we buy such expensive devices on the trust of the brand to only see it last for 2 years or so!!

Electronic devices can go bad due to multiple reasons but seeing many people face the same issue just points to that fact it is an issue with the device itself and not the usage!!

So the customer has to pay 50% of the original cost!! This is insane and clearly cheating!!

looks like Samsung already knows about this and it will be a big loss for them to fix the issue. That's why the service center didn't give any paper or proof of receipt.. So when they ask for service order number, we have nothing!
Samsung even stopped replying now.

How can we raise this issue globally so our problem gets noticed and hopefully we get a resolution?

From India, After updating my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which was maintained meticulously, after the latest AI features, my phone was bricked within few hours. It seems there was a lack of proper compatibility testing between the AI software and the hardware with latest updates, leading to overheating issues. Now, I’m left dealing with the consequences, and it’s caused me to lose trust in Samsung devices. I heard same issue in multiple forums and communities. Samsung should take this as it’s responsibility and replace motherboard for effected.
