Hi Team,

2 weeks back I updated my Galaxy S22 Ultra to One UI 6.1 as an OTA. The phone worked well for few days until it started becoming slow and randomly restarting. Now it's so laggy, sometimes it takes a few seconds for an app to open or the keyboard to appear when you want to type something on whatsapp etc

Today it went into a boot loop for 2 restarts until it started working again.

Such an amazing phone ruined by an update. With every restart the phone sends Samsung some logs.

Forums online are filled with super negative reviews of samsung phones after this update.

My phone is out of warranty and whatever needs fixing should be fixed by Samsung foc as its their update which ruined the phone.

Has anyone faced similar issues?

You can do one thing... do a formating and software updation at Samsung service center.
Do take a backup of your phone.

Also, just use it as fresh without downloading any apps from playstore. Just observe how your devide is responding.

I had loaded One UI 6.1 in my s22 Ultra at service center and it is running quiet smoothly.

Just take care of what apps you are loading and what websites are you surfing.

My One UI 6 S22 Ultra (On May security patch) went into bootloop randomly before 72 hours, then kept on restarting (showing only Samsung logo, no lockscreen) for around 24 hours. Then i tried few button combinations, managed to get into download mode. It showed the Download mode screen and after that it's totally dead. Not even getting charged. I'm from India, out of warranty. Service centre is saying motherboard failure. Motherboard replacement costs Rs.41k (~$500). Not doing it. Samsung must replace affected device motherboards for free, else why would I buy a phone that costs like a vehicle if they cannot provide peace of mind to customers?

Man, I have also faced exactly the same issue 2 months ago... It was almost a war between me and service center.. I thought I was the only person who faced this until I saw your compliant... Samsung marketing team thinks S22 Ultra users can easily afford another S24 Ultra if the device is dead by software update... We individual should raise a voice... I've been in a mentally sick condition due to this issue, the carelessness of samsung to their flagship users should be notable thing across the globe.

Absolutely, agreed. In India, even the costliest Samsung Care+ plan covers only upto 2 years. So if one has problem after 2 years, even with Samsung care+ bought they remain helpless. Samsung promises 7-8 years of updates to flagships, but what's the point if the phone itself survives for only 2 years?
