I own a Samsung S21 FE phone which was purchased in Feb 2022. Suddenly on Oct 2, 2024 it started showing a vertical green line on the right side of the phone which must have been after a recent software update in September 2024. My phone is intact and does not have any physical damage.
I quickly went to my nearby service centre (Phoenix Mall, Velachery, Chennai) and explained this issue. They acknowledged the issue and said the last date for repairing this issue free of cost has ended (Sep 30, 2024) already and can now only be serviced with a cost.
I was speechless and said I got the issue only on Oct 2, 2024 so I could not have come before Sep 30, 2024.
In fact Samsung should consider repair this issue till the end of three years of purchase date which will be a fair deal to the end users.
I am a long time customer of Samsung and to get a such treatment, I feel totally helpless and hugely disappointed.
I sincerely expect Samsung to repair this issue free of cost.

Finally Samsung service center accepted my request to replace the screen free of cost (they charged only the labour - ₹502). They took one day to replace it.
I appreciate their understanding of user's concern and addressing it immediately.
They have extended the free screen replacement program till end of December 2024.
Please go to your near Samsung service center if you have also affected by the green/pink/white line issues.
