I own a Samsung S21 FE phone which was purchased in Feb 2022. Suddenly on Oct 2, 2024 it started showing a vertical green line on the right side of the phone which must have been after a recent software update in September 2024. My phone is intact and does not have any physical damage.

I quickly went to my nearby service centre (Phoenix Mall, Velachery, Chennai) and explained this issue. They acknowledged the issue and said the last date for repairing this issue free of cost has ended (Sep 30, 2024) already and can now only be serviced with a cost. 

I was speechless and said I got the issue only on Oct 2, 2024 so I could not have come before Sep 30, 2024. 

In fact Samsung should consider repair this issue till the end of three years of purchase date which will be a fair deal to the end users.

I am a long time customer of Samsung and to get a such treatment, I feel totally helpless and hugely disappointed.

I sincerely expect Samsung to repair this issue free of cost.

Hi Samsung Customer Support,

This is simply unacceptable. Why should I pay for your software update fault. Ideally you should extend the free display repair service for the lifetime of the product similar to how OnePlus is doing.

Why are you not realising that you have been losing your loyal customers by this day light cheating.

I have already decided to move away from your products.

I also influence lot of my family members to buy Samsung products (not only mobile) but after this episode I will simply tell them not to TRUST Samsung as a brand.

Hi Samsung Customer Support,

Today I got the second green line on the right side of the first green line while I was using the mobile, just like that.
