With just 1year & 4 months of use, I seemed to face the first instance with Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Post 1 week of upgrading to Android 12, the screen suddenly started flickering at first. Gradually, it went off, turned white, green and totally impossible to even identify anything being displayed. Somehow turning off helped initially & screen was retained to normal. However, next day same set of issues repeated for a longer duration. Reset does not  work at all ,rather heating issues occurred after resetting twice. Screen turned unresponsive, randomly switching between home & menu screen .Tried logging into safe mode, that failed too. Ultimately the phone became useless to use & took to service center. They denied the impact of Android 12 Upgrade. Rather claimed that phone's screen got internally damaged, with some liquid getting spilled over , cause of which the different colors appeared and flickered. Neither I dropped my phone even once nor was it hit . And with proper screen guard ,the phone is legitly secured !
The screen replacement costed me around ₹17000.
My entire family uses Samsung high end phones ( Galaxy & Note).
And no wonder, after me they too experienced the same screen trouble. Very bad & unfortunate experience with Samsung. Cause the root cause of the issue is yet to be determined and Samsung being such a renowned and trusted brand has not been able to provide any long term resolution either.

Same issue with me on S20 Ultra. I'm never gonna trust Samsung now. It is costing me 19,000rs for screen change. I'm showing the proof that it is a software issue but Samsung care guys as still denying it. They are blaming me for the screen issue and saying I have caused damage to my phone by dropping it. Worst experience from Samsung. NEVER EVER GONNA BUY SAMSUNG. Time to switch back to apple.
