Received this android 12 update today.

Things to do:
-Backup all data
-Download update
-Install update
-Format the entire device
-Setup phone
-Restore Data

Enjoy the android 12 bug free update.

Formatting the device after major update is must, this ensures no older files will collide with newer system files.

Make sure you give your device 1 week time period to learn the battery usage patterns

Hope this helps๐Ÿฅ‚ Cheers

If u restore the same old data , won't it also install and get back all old files including the system files since they r backed up ?

go to setting >click on your name/account>Samsung cloud>backup

select what you want to backup.

for me, i select contacts, messages, call logs, apps, home setting, wifi settings etc etc.

take a backup. That's all.

For photos i use Onedrive Photos backup. This is premium service from Microsoft (i worked for Microsoft so they gave it to me for free for Lifetime)
Else you can use any cloud service to backup photos.
Alternatively transfer using USB to PC or Mac.

That's all.
