Galaxy SThings Samsung Needs to Fix in Future One UI Updates (Like One UI 8 or 9)
While Samsung leads in hardware, there are a few basic things users have been expecting for years—especially when other brands like OnePlus, Oppo, and even older iPhones are catching up:
Built-in App Lock: We need a native app lock that’s secure and free from ads—no third-party clutter.
Portrait Video Quality: The current portrait video isn’t even on par with 5-year-old iPhones. It needs serious improvement.
Smoother Animations: Despite powerful hardware, Samsung animations still feel a step behind iPhones in polish and fluidity.
Easy File Transfers: File transfer to Windows/macOS should be seamless—something like AirDrop or Snapdragon Seamless. Right now, it feels like Android is 10 years behind here.
Faster Shutter Speed: Capturing fast-moving subjects is still better on older iPhones. Samsung needs to optimize shutter performance.
Night Videography: Despite advanced camera sensors, night video still doesn't live up to the hardware's potential.
Better Use of Powerful Chips: Galaxy Store should support PC-level gaming. All this raw power (Snapdragon 8 elite 1/2) is wasted otherwise—no one really cares about benchmark scores.
Real-life Performance > Benchmarks: iPhones still feel snappier, especially in apps like Instagram. Better app optimization is key.
More Reliable Unlocking: Face ID and fingerprint should work every time. iPhone's Face ID has set the standard—Samsung needs to catch up here.
Final thought:
Samsung should focus on getting the basics right before overloading users with AI features. Apple may lag in AI, but they nail the user experience—and that’s what keeps people loyal. Focus on these core improvements, and Samsung can truly stand out.
